Street News Latest Update Focuses Local Press Release

Media Release

Real estate website Street News is making it even easier for consumers to conduct research on Melbourne suburbs after launching a new local information section.

After two and a half months of testing, the property information portal announced today that it has introduced a new, visual-based local information section, which includes expanded information about local attractions like cafes, restaurants and sports clubs.

Street News founder and director Peter Sarmas says the change was made based on feedback from consumers.

“People love interacting with our sold property section and the local lifestyle and community points of interest,” Mr Sarmas says. “We’ve now made this section more colourful, visual and easier to access across all of our Melbourne and Victorian suburbs.”

Suburbs will now also be ranked according to their median values, a tool Mr Sarmas believes property buyers will find valuable when conducting their research.

“At a glance visitors to the page will be able to compare where their suburb falls in terms of price,” Mr Sarmas says.

A new navigation bar makes it possible to skip directly to demographic information, mortgage statistics and real estate experts, as well as latest news stories about each suburb.

“The new design is very customised,” Mr Sarmas says. “It allows consumers to simplify their search by choosing the information that is most relevant to their needs.”

To date, the Street News website has received over 12,000 unique visitors per month for the Melbourne/Victorian market alone, a figure Mr Sarmas attributes to its engaging content, user-friendly design and comprehensive local information.
