The RP Data Rismark March Home Value Index Results will be released on Tuesday 1 April by 10am.

RP Data research director Tim Lawless has commented on what to expect from the results:

The RP Data-Rismark Daily Home Value Index for the five major capital cities has shown a near record level of growth throughout the month of March.

Over the first 27 days of March 2014, major capital city home values increased by 2.1 per cent.

Clearly the flat conditions throughout February were an aberration and the strong housing market momentum recorded late in 2013 is continuing.

This is supported by the current strong level of auction clearance and the ongoing escalation in housing finance commitments.

Given this, we would anticipate a strong result for the month of March with the three largest capital cities recording value growth of more than 2 per cent over the month to date.
