Rosanna is a quiet residential area on the fringe of the Yarra Valley green belt. Twenty-five minutes from the city on the Eastern Freeway, the suburb is also well serviced by public transport. Rosanna Station greets regular trains on the Hurstbridge line.

An abundance of scenic parks thrive in the area, while reserves such as De Winton Park provide facilities for football and cricket. A range of shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, health services and community services can be found in Rosanna Village on Lower Plenty Road, while larger shopping facilities are a short distance away at Northland and Westfield Doncaster.
